Shining Like a Gem: Brompton P Line (Emerald Lacquer)

The Art of Slow Riding with my Brompton

Why I Chose the Emerald Lacquer P-Line
My current favorite companion is the Brompton P-Line Emerald Lacquer. While there are many bikes out there, the Brompton is special.

The biggest draw is its unmatched portability. It fits effortlessly on trains and buses, and I never have to worry about bike theft because I can simply fold it and bring it inside a restaurant. But more than that, it allows me to let go of the obsession with speed. Instead of racing to the finish line, I can soak in the scenery and enjoy the ride at my own pace.

Riding in Style and Comfort
One of the best things about Brompton life is that you don’t need professional cycling gear. I can ride in my everyday comfortable clothes and blend right into any destination. Whether I’m stopping at a local bistro or taking a stroll in a park, it feels natural.

This versatility shines even brighter during international trips. It’s incredibly easy to check in as luggage, making it the ultimate travel tool for exploring the hidden alleys of a foreign city.

As the winter chill sets in, I find myself dreaming of escaping to warmer climates with my bike. Taiwan’s vibrant streets and Okinawa’s emerald coastlines are calling my name. While solo rides are peaceful, nothing beats the joy of shouting “Look at that!” to a friend while cruising through a new country together.

If you have a great friend to ride with and a Brompton by your side, don’t hesitate—just go for it.

“Check out my Brompton setup!

I custom-made a front bag and a bottle holder using Arc’teryx climbing bags. For the components, I’ve upgraded to a Brooks Cambium C17 All-Weather saddle and swapped the seatpost and handlebars for carbon fiber ones.

The accents are all in green: green easy wheels, Union Jack pedals with custom green anti-slip pins, and even a green Cateye light. For a personal touch, I have a reflective dinosaur head and a cute little ‘Brachio’ plushie hanging on it—though I might swap them if I find another adorable green mascot!”

“Always have a great ride with your Brompton!”
